A Komodo yacht charter is the exclusive hire of an entire vessel and its crew for your own dates, priced per day rather than per person, from around USD 1,550 per night for a standard phinisi.

What the daily rate already covers
The vessel, the crew, fuel for the agreed route, all meals and drinking water, snorkelling equipment, tenders, and cabin linen. There is no per-head surcharge hiding underneath: the rate is for the boat.
Paid separately are the Komodo National Park entrance fee, which is around USD 40–50 per international visitor or USD 20–25 per Indonesian visitor, along with crew gratuities, travel insurance, and flights to Labuan Bajo. Diving is also available at an additional cost, as it requires certified guides and diving equipment such as tanks.
Because we operate the fleet rather than broker it, we can check your dates against every vessel at once. An individual boat website can only tell you about its own calendar.

The captain proposes a route for your dates, allowing for wind and tide. You adjust it. Nothing is locked until you are happy.

Written confirmation naming the vessel, the route and the inclusions. Balance due 30 days before departure.
In the April–November dry season the well-reviewed vessels go six to ten weeks ahead. Early enquiry matters more than early payment.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does it cost to charter a private yacht in Komodo?
- From around USD 1,550 per night for a standard four-to-six-cabin phinisi, USD 1,800–9,850 per day for the Ayvara and Malca class, and from about USD 3,800 per day for the flagship. Rates are for the whole vessel.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Six to ten weeks for dry-season dates, and three to six months if you want the flagship or a specific vessel in July or August. Wet-season dates are usually available much closer in.
- Can we change the itinerary?
- Yes — that is most of the point. The captain will tell you what is realistic for your dates given wind and current, and within that the route is yours.
- Is diving included?
- No. Snorkelling gear and guiding are included; diving is quoted separately because it needs certified dive guides, tanks and compressor time. Tell us at enquiry and we will price it in.
- What happens if the weather turns?
- The captain reroutes to sheltered water and tells you why. If conditions make sailing unsafe altogether we move the charter or refund it. We will not run a boat into weather we would not put our own crew in.
