The Night-Navigation Ban (Effective January 10, 2026)

Since January 10, 2026, vessels are prohibited from navigating inside Komodo National Park waters at night. All repositioning between islands now happens in daylight, and boats anchor in designated overnight areas from dusk until morning.

For guests, this changes itinerary rhythm rather than itinerary content. The old pattern of “sail overnight, wake up at Padar” has been replaced by daylight cruising with earlier anchoring — which, on a well-planned route, means sunset on deck at anchor in a protected bay instead of a night underway. Liveaboard Guests Are Counted Individually

A full-boat charter of 10 guests needs 10 registered SiOra slots for each park day — and 10 Padar session places if Padar is on the plan.
