Itinerary Highlights Inside Komodo National Park
Padar Island
The iconic three-bay viewpoint — the photo that put Komodo on the map. Multi-day guests trek it at sunrise, when the light is gold and the trail is quiet; day-tour guests reach it mid-morning. The 30–40 minute climb rewards every step.
Pink Beach
One of only a handful of pink-sand beaches on Earth, colored by crushed red coral. Swim, snorkel the house reef straight off the sand, or simply anchor offshore and take it in from the deck.
Manta Point & Taka Makassar
Drift-snorkel over a cleaning station where reef manta rays with three-meter wingspans glide beneath you, then step onto Taka Makassar — a crescent of white sand barely above the tide line, surrounded by turquoise shallows.

Best Time for a Komodo Yacht Tour
Dry season, April to November, is prime time. Seas are calm, visibility for snorkeling is at its best, and the islands turn from green to their famous savanna gold as the season progresses. July and August bring the busiest crowds and the strongest demand for share cabins — book those dates early. December to March is the rainy season: the park stays open and the hills turn lush green, but expect afternoon showers and occasional swell.
