The honest arithmetic for two people
A charter is priced by the vessel, not by the head. For two people that is the most expensive way to buy a cabin that exists — two nights on a Deluxe phinisi is about USD 3,100 for the boat, against roughly USD 1,140 for the same two nights in the best cabin on a share trip.
What the extra buys is real: nobody else aboard, a route you set, dinner served when you want it, and the deck to yourselves at two in the morning. For a honeymoon that is a defensible thing to spend on, and plenty of couples do.
But it is a choice, not a requirement, and an operator that only shows you the charter is selling rather than advising. Ayvara's Master Cabin with its private balcony, on a scheduled sailing with eight to twelve other people, is a genuinely romantic trip for a third of the money.

Practicalities
Three things to settle early
None of them romantic. All of them cheaper to sort before you pay.
Payment and cancellation
A 50% deposit confirms and is non-refundable if you cancel, though you may nominate someone else to take the booking. The balance falls due 30 days before departure. Book dates you are certain of.
Alcohol and corkage
Bring your own from Labuan Bajo — the selection aboard is limited and the town is cheaper. Some vessels charge corkage; ask us which before you buy a case.
Tipping
Not compulsory and never on the invoice. The operator suggests 10–15% if you want a number. Crews on this fleet are salaried, so it is a thank-you rather than a wage.

- We take one payment from one booker. If your guests want to contribute, collect it yourselves and pay us once — we do not run a gift-registry facility, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
