Every format, every price band, and the fees that are not ours to collect — set out before you have to ask.

A Komodo yacht tour costs from USD 90 per person for a shared day tour, from USD 300 per person for a 3D2N share cabin, and from USD 1,550 per night for a private charter — plus an IDR 700,000 per-person park entrance fee paid at the park.
- All prices are quoted in USD. Nothing is quote-on-request.
- A 50% deposit confirms; the balance is due 30 days before departure.
- The park entrance fee is set by the authority and every visitor pays it, whichever operator they book.
- July and August carry the strongest demand — the same cabin costs more and sells out earlier.

These are guide ranges, not quotations. The figure that matters is the one for your dates, your group size and the actual vessel — ask for it and we will send it in writing.

What the fare already covers
Consistent across every format. If something here is missing from a quote you have been given elsewhere, that is worth asking about.
What is charged separately
Three items sit outside the fare. Two of them are not ours to collect at all.
Park entrance fee
The dated Komodo National Park ticket costs approximately USD 40–50 per international visitor, while Indonesian visitors pay around USD 20–25 per person. The ticket is handled separately through SiORA.
Crew gratuities
Not compulsory and never added to the invoice. The operator suggests 10–15% if you want a number; plenty of guests give less or nothing and it changes nothing about the trip.
Travel insurance
Not included. Strongly recommended, particularly outside the April–November dry season.
Diving is quoted on top of any format at USD 50–80 per dive, tank, weights and guide included, because it needs certified dive staff and compressor time. Divers also pay a park surcharge.
Payment
When money actually changes hands
Nothing is paid before a named vessel and a date are confirmed in writing.
Written quote first
Naming the vessel, the route, the duration, and what is and is not included. You pay nothing to get one.
50% to confirm
The deposit secures the cabin or the boat. Be cautious of any operator demanding 100% upfront to a personal account.
Balance at 30 days
The remaining 50% falls due 30 days before departure. For bookings made inside that window, in full at booking.
The deposit is non-refundable on participant cancellation, though you may nominate a replacement. Booking a year ahead splits differently: 30% to confirm, 20% more at 120 days, balance at 30 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why do prices show as a range?
- Because the honest answer depends on the vessel, the season and the group size. A single headline number would either be the best case for everyone or a figure nobody actually pays. Send your dates and we will replace the range with a quote.
- Is the park fee really extra?
- Yes, and it is the same for every visitor and every operator — IDR 700,000 per person, set by the park authority. An operator advertising an "all-in" price that appears to include it is usually just quoting a higher number.
- Does the price change by season?
- Yes. April–November is prime and July–August is the peak inside it, with the strongest demand for share cabins. Wet-season dates are cheaper and the park stays open, with the trade being afternoon showers and occasional swell.
- Do you charge a booking or card fee?
- Bank transfer carries no fee from us. Card payments may carry a processing fee, which we will state in the quote before you pay rather than at checkout.
- What is the cheapest way to see the park properly?
- The 3D2N share cabin from USD 300 per person. It reaches Padar at sunrise before the day boats and covers the full circuit, which a day tour cannot do at any price.
